Hey everyone and welcome back to my blog. So if you know me at all, or if you don’t you’re about to learn, you will know that music is a huge part of my life. I talk about it all the time. I spend a very large portion of my day listening to music and I don’t go anywhere without a pair of earphones being in my pocket or my bag. I’m always making new playlists, finding new ones made by others and sharing song links from spotify onto my instagram story almost daily. So I’ve decided to take my love for music onto another platform and make a little blog series where I share with you all things music. So welcome to Magic Music!!! This is my little outlet and online space to talk about one of my biggest passions. From solo artists to bands, albums to singles and everything in between. I’m really excited about it and I hope you all enjoy it. Chapter Two: An underrated gem. Chelsea Cutler. So today I’m sharing with you all an artist I discovered on Spotify and someone who I think deserves much more credit and listening time: Chelsea Cutler. Now I’m guessing that the vast majority of you wont know who she is. Granted, I didn’t for a long time either. So I was playing a discover weekly or recommended for you playlist on spotify just over a year ago. I do that sometimes if I don't know what I feel like listening to. And one of her songs was in it. I played it and instantly just fell in love with her sound, vocals and the production style of the music. And that particular song which was called ‘Your Shirt’ (fun fact) and it got me through a rather rough time and I’m grateful for that. Any of you heartbroken ones out there right now you need to listen to that song, I bet you’ll end up in tears. So I then went and found her artist profile and played some more songs. Again, fell in love with each one I heard. Now she recently released her debut LP: How to be Human; I think it’s an album that you should all check out. But don’t ignore her earlier EP’s too. There are some absolute gems hidden in them. If you like a more electronic sound or something that sounds ‘aesthetic’ almost or breezy then I really think you’ll like her music. I really hope I get the chance to see her live one day if she ever tours the UK. I defo have some fave songs of hers that I think you should play as a starting point!! Songs to look out for: 1: Lonely Alone 2: Lucky 3: NJ 4: Deserve This 5: Sad Tonight That was so hard to choose, I could have easily picked more but start with those and if you like them you can always play more songs. So hopefully you’ve discovered someone new to listen to, that’s one of my intentions with this little series. That’s all for now. Thank you for reading and I’ll be back soon with another chapter. All my love, Jade xxx
