I don’t know why this happens but my best and most random ideas and inspirations come to me late at night just when I think, maybe I should go to bed. This is another one of those ideas. I don’t want this to come across as me just bragging and/or being narcissistic, I mean I can be like that sometimes & there’s a confession for you, but not today. I’ll save it for another time. In this new crazy world of technology and new career opportunities of millennials and generation Z as well in some cases, we’re always comparing ourselves to everyone else we see. The blogger who has over 100K followers on Instagram or the youtuber who got 2 million views for a 24 hour challenge video. That’s fucking incredible and achievement and success should be celebrated in this community all the time where it is deserved. But there is something that we are not doing. And it’s actually something really important in my opinion.

Hi everyone and welcome back to my blog. Can you believe another month has gone by and we are officially over half way through 2019. I cannot believe we are into July already. It’s absolutely crazy. Like hello. Time, can you slow the heck down please. This year is flying by. I can't believe we only have 6 months left of this entire DECADE let alone this year, that's so so crazy. Let's make those months count am I right? But seeing as another month has ended I thought I would share with you all some of my fave things that I’ve been loving this past month. There are some foodie ones, some digital things and few random things. I’ll try and get through this quickly because we all know I have a tendency to waffle when I talk about something l love. Hi everyone and welcome back to my blog for another post. So in light of my announcement the other day, I have decided to upload a more light hearted post today and I thought I would share with you some of my favourite youtubers that I watch regularly and love very very much!!! Seeing as I will now be making youtube videos I thought it would make sense for me to share with you guys the channels that I watch consistently, the ones that inspire me and the ones I will be using for ideas when I start making my own videos. This is in no particular order by the way, I love all of them. So keep reading to find out… Hi everyone. So I’m gonna keep this brief. This is probably gonna be one of the most important and significant blog posts I ever write. But as you can see by the title of this post there is some pretty major news that I wanna share with you all. It has been a long time coming and I’ve flitted back and forth over whether to do this for so so long and I have finally decided that I am ready, passionate enough to do it, feel confident enough and have the capacity and time to do it. Hi everyone and welcome back to my blog. I have decided to write something different today and branch out to a slightly different topic. I’ve never written a food blog post before but I love food and I basically don’t stop eating so I thought why not. Hi everyone!! So you may or may not know that I went to Cuba back in April across easter for two weeks. I know that some of you are thinking of going there yourselves so I thought I would put together a little guide with what I know about the country and what I learned while I was there. There may be some errors in here so please don’t go mad (i don’t know everything), I’m not a travel agent or anything. I’m just trying to help and I hope this is useful for anyone out there thinking about going to Cuba or is going soon. You can’t deny that this industry of blogging and influencing is extremely saturated these days. There are SO many bloggers now. SO many. All producing kick ass content. It is so competitive. And that fact alone can put some people off starting at all. I know it did put me off for ages. It is impossible to keep up with everything, support everyone that you follow even though you want to as best as you can and read / consume it all because it comes in different forms and it is constant and on demand. Even more so than the amount of box sets and movies on SkyQ. And that’s A LOT you guys. This is a biggie. Sitting here writing this one. Part of me feels like it’s ‘too negative’ to publish and that I should keep it for private eyes. But. Blog posts can’t all be happy and fluffy like candy floss because that isn’t real life. You’d soon run out of stuff to talk about if it was all fluffy and there wasn’t anything gritty or posts that get you thinking or questioning something in your life. This question has been in my head before I even hit publish on the first version of my blog page / website back in January, fuck that feels like forever ago but also like yesterday. V weird. This question was one of the things that stopped me taking the plunge on this blog thing sooner and it plays on my mind constantly. Seriously. It does. So I ask you, and i’m being dead serious. So this is something that I felt I needed to write and publish. Of course I wanted to write it as well but I feel like I need to do this because so many people need to hear it. I get DM’s on instagram regularly from lovely lovely people, who will obviously stay anonymous, and honestly the messages I get sent break my heart. The general theme of them is something like this: How do you do it? (it being having body confidence or being confident in my body) or I wish I could feel like that in my body or How do you have so much confidence? It breaks my heart and I just wanna give each of those people a cuddle. But then part of me thinks why are they thinking or asking me this in the first place. I blame society and how it’s conditioned everyone to think that one version of appearance is the acceptable one. It’s a lie. There is no such thing as perfect and every body is beautiful in it’s own way and I wish that everyone could see that. So I have decided to make a little list or a guide on how any of you out there that are struggling to embrace your body for what it is can start to do just that. Obviously being confident in yourself is so much more than just reading something and it instantly happening and you believing it straight away because it takes time, practice and a complete mindset change but this is just a starting point. I have some tips on what I did to get to where I am in terms of this and I thought I would share them here as a blog post so if you ever need them they’re here. I really hope this can help someone out there. Hi everyone and welcome back to my blog for another post. So as we all know very well, I spend. I love it. I have no control. Butttt in order to be able to spend in the way that I do so I can do unboxings and create fashion/beauty content I have to budget for it because being a student and not having the maintenance loan thingy like most people do means I do have to be careful so I can go wild. Basically it takes planning but it’s worth it. So in case any of you out there are spenders like me I thought I would share with you the tips and tricks I use to save money here and there which eventually adds up and means that I can go wild at the shops and online as often as I do. This has been trial and error and some work better than others do. But these are my top 10 tips to save money for people who love spending. So this week has been mental health awareness week. Of course I was not going to let it slip by and not say anything about it. Even if I have left it until the last day to post something. Mental health is a massive part of me and who I am. I want to try and do my bit to change the narrative on it and make a difference. Even if it’s just 1 person that I help I will be so happy with that and me writing this will be worth it. I’m still working up the courage to share everything that I’ve been through over the last 5 years but I’m working on it and one day I will pluck up the courage and tell you about it. Let’s just say the words: Anxiety, Depression and Suicide and that should cover the broad spectrum of it. Anyway back to this year and not my story for now. This year’s theme for Mental Health Week is ‘Body Image’ which is so important in the age of FaceTune and photoshop. Which are readily and widely available to anyone with a smartphone or a tablet. Both of which can alter everything so easily and then everyday people end up feeling shit about themselves because they see this fake and altered image/content and think thats what they have to look like to be beautiful and seen as worthy. NEWS FLASH. ITS FAKE, MANIPULATIVE AND NOT OKAY to any extent. So I wanted to use this post to give you all a list of things that I think you all should know regarding mental health and body image. Not just for this week of mental health week but for any week of the year whenever you feel down, need reminding of how amazing you are and need a lil boost of positivity. |
