Hey everyone and welcome back to my blog for another post. So this is something different and I know that it wont interest or appeal to everyone out there. Buttt I had the idea and I haven’t seen it anywhere else so I thought I would have a shot at it. So as you may or may not know. Due to my chronic illness, IBS, I have had to make some dietary changes and I do now in a way have a dietary requirement. Which is something new to me which I am still getting used to. That requirement is that I have had to dramatically reduce the amount of dairy I have and consume. This has not been easy but I have fortunately adjusted to it and I know that it’s working. But along the way I have learned a few things, hacks I you will, on how to still have my fave things (mainly coffee based things) and not have to miss out just because of dairy. So in this post I am gonna make a list for you of how I have and ask for ALL my drinks. Be them hot, cold, Starbucks or at home. I’ll also add in some recommendation on alternatives that I love and trust. Then if anyone out there wants to reduce dairy for whatever reason, is doing a vegan challenge like Veganuary or has to go dairy free like me due to an illness or allergy you can use this to refer to as and when you need it.

Hey everyone. So as you all know my birthday is coming up really soon, THIS WEEK ACTUALLY OMGGG, and this birthday is a special one. I’m turning 20!!!! Can you believe that. Because I can’t. I still feel like a ten year old. I mean I still love high school musical and girls aloud and cheese puffs so I’m not far off to be fair. But as this birthday looms it means the start of a new decade and a new chapter in my life and I’m so bloody excited for it. Everyone says your 20’s are a crazy and wild ride and I’m so excited to start the ride and see what happens in this next decade. But I’m mainly excited to leave my teens behind because honestly it hasn’t been the nicest chapter of my life… school days ARE NOT THE BEST DAYS OF YOUR LIFE. Parents you fucking lied to me. But I’ll come to that another time because I have many feelings about my teen years that I wanna talk about and reflect on. Hi everyone and welcome back to my blog for another post. So as I am now in my second year of university. I thought I would share with you all the things I regretted about my first year of uni. There are several things I learned and hopefully this post could help someone avoid falling into the same traps I did. So keep reading to see my regrets and what I would change if I could. I started writing this a few weeks ago when I was in the midst of an IBS flare up and none of my clothes would fit me. I wasn’t gonna publish it but I thought someone else may feel the same way and it might resonate with someone so I thought why not. So thats the context for ya. I’ve just added this lil paragraph in as I edit the post and finalise it. So keep reading to see what I'm on about with this post... Hey everyone and welcome back to my blog for another post. Today I thought I would just sit down and write something casual about stuff that’s being going lately. Because as much as I wanted to really get into blogging consistently this summer I just haven’t really done it. And there are a few reasons for it. But I also just wanna catch you guys up as to where I am with life generally. So grab a cuppa and let’s have a catch up. So it’s been a year since I moved out for my first year of uni and moved into my room/flat in the halls of residence. That year has flown. But while I was there, I learned a few things and I had stuff that I was lost without that I didn’t necessarily think about or think I would need when I moved in. Mainly because the whole experience of moving was draining, exhausting and tbh for me a nightmare. So I thought I would share with you the 5 things I think you might need or want, or both, if you’re moving into halls this month. So this is something I’ve never touched on, on my blog but I want to. Like really want to. So I thought this would be a good place to start. This post was actually a request from someone on instagram after I did a Q&A on there. So thank you to that person for suggesting this. So you may or may not know this: but I actually have a chronic illness. Chronic in the sense that there is no cure for it, yet. Hopefully in my lifetime a cure will be found but for now I have my illness for life. My condition is IBS. I’m not gonna get into detail because I’m doing some posts on my illness in detail separately. Having a chronic illness has completely changed my life, basically overnight. And I know that, that is the same for many people out there. One day you’re well and the next you feel so so sick and unwell and you have an incurable disease. But I thought I would share with you all my top tips for dealing with and/or managing a chronic illness or invisible illness. Because these illnesses can be so hard to control and over the last 3 years, I cant believe I’ve been ill for 3 years now, I have learnt a few tips and tricks. Sometimes the hard way. Within the blogging world I find that there is a misconception / bloggers can feel pressured that you have to be in London all the time or living in London in order to have some success because that’s where the cool locations are for photos and where most events take place. I have felt this pressure and often have the FOMO because everyone in London just seems to be doing so much better than me because they are in the thick of everything and have easier access to events n stuff. I just wanna take a minute to remind you all that, that is not the case at all and wherever you live if you’re feeling the pressure to be in London all the time you really don’t need to be. You are doing fine. Going to London once now and again is more than enough. So in light of that I thought I would share with you all my top 5 cities that AREN’T London. These cities are so so cool as well and in my opinion should be considered for blogging things more instead of everything being in London. The distribution really isn't equal or fair in my opinion. The 5 cities I mention here have plenty to do and you can still get great content in them and one of these cities might be easier for you to travel to than London. I hope there is a city here for everyone. I’ve been to all of these places, I love them all and wanna go back to them all asap. Hi everyone and welcome back to my blog!!! Long time no see I know… So today’s post was a request from someone on Instagram. I get asked about Pinterest and my profile frequently and how I build up my following and presence on there. It’s no secret in the last few months I have become a bit of a Pinterest addict and I love going on there and seeing what’s up. I have so many boards now for a range of things and it’s just so much fun, but Pinterest is also a valuable tool for any creative out there and you really can make an impact there if you use it right. I think every blogger, creative or influencer should actively use it because it’s an easy way of gaining a shit ton of exposure and the best part: the app is totally free to use and download. As of now, me writing this anyway, I am on the cusp of reaching half a million monthly unique viewers. HALF A MILLION. Which is the most insane thing on this earth. Never ever though that was possible. And for reference, I started using it in January and got to 100K but then uni got in the way so the views dipped significantly. I have built myself back up again from around 10K since the end of May. So as you can see, I have built it back up again at a rapid rate to a higher peak than I had before and to the most crazy figure that I didn’t think was possible. So I thought I would share with you all in a blog post some of the tips and tricks I have learned over the time I have been actively using Pinterest which have helped me to grow so quickly. |
